Wollny Vermögen - From 1998 to 2002, Wollny was a member of the Bundesjazzorchester. He also played in a quartet led by Hubert Winter. The debut album of Wollny was recorded with Wolfgang Kriener and Joachim Leyh. Wollny has played with Heinz Sauer from 2001, as much as a duo and a quartet. He was also a member of the trio [EM] [of], with the bearish Eva Kruse and the percussionist Eric Schaefer. Recorded CDS as a member of young friends (great German song book, 2005), with winter (different types of stories, 2003), with Hans-Peter Salentin [of] (beyond his thoughts, sound of silence), and With Nils Landgren (the moon, the stars and you, 2011), among others. He was a regular pianist at the Staatstheater Nürnberg and the Nationtheater Mannheim since 1999.

In 2005, Wollny signed a contract with the Label of the Music + Vision label in which he launched several albums with the trio of him and in collaboration with other artists, such as Sauer and Nils Landgren. In 2007 he threw the first solo album of him hexentanz. In 2014, the trio of him, now with the bassist Tim Lefebvre, recorded the Weltentraum album, which made the pop graphics. A review in the Guardian said: "They are one of the great piano trios driven by the jazz of the world, and Nachtfahrten does not move away from this evaluation." In 2017, he was an artist in residence (Fokus Jazz: Michael Wollny) of the Rheingau Musik Festival, interviewed on an appointment, and playing three concerts, improvising with Marius Nest in the first, with vocalist Andreas Schaerer, Émile Parisien and Vincent Peirani in The second, and finally with his trio and the Set of Norwegian wind.
